M247's new NY iPoP site gives Microsoft Teams international capability

Leading global provider of connectivity and cloud services, M247 has launched a new international Point of Presence (iPoP) in New York City; enabling the roll-out of a fully integrated Microsoft Teams digital voice suite that has global reach.

The new iPoP has been launched to support the growing demand for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing – a solution which allows customers to make and receive traditional telephone calls via the Microsoft Teams collaboration workspace. The cloud service provider has witnessed unprecedented demand for the capability during the COVID-19 pandemic as more global businesses struggle to adapt to the challenges of moving from a hybrid working architecture to a full remote working model. Expanding into New York means M247 will be able to support UK customers who also have offices located in the United States, enabling team collaboration from multiple international locations.

This expansion means M247 are the first provider to be able to offer customers a fully collaborative, real time interactive solution that incorporates Microsoft Teams Direct Routing with both call recording and call reporting functionality, delivered internationally. Ideal for M247’s growing roster of customers with a global footprint; enabling M247 to create a complimentary suite of voice services that are flexible, easy to consume and underpin customers’ digital ambitions.

By extending the network further, M247 are now able to provide high quality voice services with the capability to replace PSTN services in the USA and Canada market.
