M247 Group, a leading international provider of hosting, data transport, and cloud solutions, has officially completed the sale of its UK-only connectivity and IT services operations to Convergence Group. The transaction includes the transfer of associated infrastructure and personnel and represents a key step in M247’s strategic pivot toward serving international, multi-jurisdictional enterprise customers. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
A Focused Shift Toward Global Scale
This divestment marks a clear milestone in M247 Group’s growth journey, enabling the company to streamline its operations and intensify its focus on expanding services across global markets. The sale applies exclusively to services offered to UK-only customers and does not impact M247’s broader international presence. The Group will continue to operate in the UK to serve its international client base while also accelerating its footprint in Europe, North America, and selected emerging markets, through M247 Global, headquarterd in Romania.

With a renewed strategic lens, M247 Group plans to reinvest proceeds from the sale into key growth areas such as the expansion of its data centre infrastructure and the development of advanced services in the Internet of Things (IoT), AI inference, security, and gaming. These initiatives are designed to strengthen M247’s service offering and support both existing and future global revenue streams.
The Group’s core business units — Global Hosting and Data Centre Operations — remain intact and continue to serve a diversified international clientele.
Seamless Transition for Customers and Teams
All employees associated with the UK-only operations have transitioned to Convergence Group as part of the agreement. Under a transitional services agreement (TSA), Convergence Group will continue to use the M247 brand for a limited period, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience for customers during the transition.
