We didn’t get to see everything at Capacity Europe 2025 (who could, really?), but our M247 Global team made sure to catch the pulse of the industry — in the expo halls, over coffee, and even later, scrolling through LinkedIn and Instagram to see what everyone else was up to.
This year, our four-person team — a mix of commercial and technical minds — came to London with a clear focus: connect, collaborate, and showcase real-world use cases of how M247 Global enables IoT at scale for telecom operators and enterprises.
Behind every “connected device” story lies a complex web of infrastructure — connectivity, routing, data processing, and security. That’s exactly where we fit in. Our MPLS backbone, edge PoPs, intelligent traffic management, and continuous monitoring make sure data moves securely, instantly, and in full compliance with local regulations. No fluff, no buzzwords — just performance and reliability that’s proven in production.

M247 Global ready to showcase Real-World IoT Application at Capacity Europe 2025
The event in a nutshell
Capacity Europe brought together over 3,600 senior executives from 90+ countries — telcos, data centre operators, cloud providers, investors, and pretty much everyone who keeps the world’s digital arteries open. With two buzzing expo halls and packed networking lounges, it’s the kind of event where you start a conversation about subsea resilience and end up discussing AI workloads on the edge.
This year’s themes were all about resilience, scalability, and collaboration. Panels like “Built to Last: Can Operators Guarantee Subsea Resiliency?” and “The AI Conundrum: Establishing ‘Hubs’ or Edge Revival?” explored how we keep the internet running in a world of growing data demand and geopolitical tension.
Investment was a big topic too — how AI and sustainability targets are reshaping the financial landscape of connectivity. The feeling across sessions was clear: the industry is converging. Telcos, cloud providers, and infrastructure investors are working more closely than ever to build networks that are smarter, greener, and ready for AI-driven demand.
Some key takeaways we brought home
- NaaS is real, not just a buzzword. Enterprises want control and visibility, and telcos are responding with Network-as-a-Service models that deliver outcomes, not just bandwidth.
- ”AI workload is a Ferrari — so your network should be a racetrack, not a village road." Probably one of the most engaging statements we heard this week at Capacity Europe 2025
- Specialisation matters. From 5G to edge computing, “centres of excellence” inside telcos are helping teams innovate faster without losing reliability.
- eSIMs are the real IoT enabler. While IoT as a topic was quieter this year, the conversation around eSIMs was buzzing — with half of all IoT connections expected to be eSIM-enabled soon.
- Subsea collaboration needs politics as much as technology. Governments need to talk to each other — resilience depends on more than just fibre.
- Quantum is getting closer. Not headline hype, but real deployments — especially in secure communications.
- Fraud prevention finally has the board’s attention. With 69% of carriers prioritising it strategically, this is long overdue good news.
- The US dominates the AI investment landscape, and Europe still has a lot to do to become an AI-ready continent.
Beyond the sessions
Capacity Europe also celebrate the winners of the 21st Global Connectivity Awards — https://capacityglobal.com/news/global-connectivity-awards-2025-winners-revealed/ a reminder that behind every innovation or partnership, there’s a team pushing the limits of what’s possible.
And, of course, networking never stops at Capacity Europe. Whether it was quick hallway intros, structured meetings, or spontaneous chats at the lounges, we connected with dozens of people shaping tomorrow’s connectivity ecosystem — and we’ll definitely be following up on a few of those conversations soon.
Wrapping up
Capacity Europe 2025 confirmed once again why this event is the annual meeting point for the global telecom and infrastructure community. It’s not just about the panels or the products — it’s about the energy, the openness to collaborate, and the sense that we’re all building something that truly connects the world.
If IoT is part of your organization’s innovation roadmap, M247 Global can provide the critical communications layer to make it work — fast, secure, and compliant across borders.
See you next year — and until then, let’s keep the conversation going. Follow us on LinkedIn to stay connected.
